Why is an Initial Clean required before Weekly Shine begins?

The Initial Clean is a more detailed first cleaning that gives us extra time to get your home ready for weekly maintenance. We take care of areas that need more attention and bring your home to a clean starting point.

After that, we return every week to maintain it, which makes each visit more consistent and helps prevent buildup over time.

Question 3

How much will my weekly cleaning cost?

Accepted Answer

Every home is different, but as a general example, a home of around 2,000 sq. ft. (excluding the basement) can expect Weekly Shine to be approximately $210 + GST per visit.

Your exact rate will depend on your home’s layout, condition and cleaning needs. Weekly Shine is priced based on completing your agreed cleaning plan—not by the time spent in your home—so your regular rate stays predictable from visit to visit.

Your Initial Clean is priced separately, and your ongoing weekly rate will be confirmed before recurring service begins.

Question 4

Will my cleaning be on the same day and time every week?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Weekly Shine is designed around a consistent schedule, so your cleaning is reserved for the same day and arrival time each week whenever possible.

You won’t need to request a new appointment every week—your recurring spot is already reserved.

If a schedule change is ever necessary due to a holiday or another unexpected circumstance, we’ll communicate with you in advance.

Question 5

Do I need to be home during my weekly cleaning?

Accepted Answer

No. Many of our clients are at work or out enjoying their day while we take care of their home. You can arrange a secure access method with us, such as a door code or another agreed entry option.

Once access is arranged, your Weekly Shine service can happen without interrupting your schedule—so you can leave your day as planned and come home to a professionally cleaned home.

Question 6

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies or equipment?

Accepted Answer

We provide the cleaning products and supplies needed for your Weekly Shine service. The only equipment we ask you to provide is your household vacuum, left somewhere accessible for your cleaning technician.

We use each home’s own vacuum to help reduce the transfer of dust, pet hair and debris from one household to another. If you have any preferred cleaning products or special instructions, we can also add them to your cleaning plan.

Question 7

Can Weekly Shine be adjusted to my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Weekly Shine follows a consistent cleaning checklist, but we can also include household tasks that make your week easier.

This could include stripping the beds and washing bedding, making beds with fresh linens, hand-washing dishes when needed, unloading the dishwasher and putting items away in their usual cabinets, or even watering a houseplant while we’re there.

Tell us what would make your weekly service more helpful to your household, and we’ll let you know what can be incorporated into your cleaning plan.

Some requests may require additional time or an additional charge.

Question 8

What if I need to skip or reschedule a weekly cleaning?

Accepted Answer

No problem. If you’re travelling, have guests, or simply need to change a visit, let us know at least 48 hours in advance. We can skip that week or, when availability allows, move your cleaning to another day.

Your regular Weekly Shine day and time will remain your recurring spot for the following visits.

Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to our cancellation policy.
